The Camera Cage from SmallRig provides a variety of accessory-mounting options for your Sony a7R III, a7S III, or a7 III when it has the Sony VG-C3EM Vertical Grip attached. The cage maintains access to the camera's controls and ports when mounted on your camera, and it also provides access to the batteries in the vertical grip.
This cage incorporates multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, ARRI-style anti-twist mounts, a NATO rail, and a shoe mount. Constructed from lightweight yet durable aluminum, the cage also provides milled slots for neck or wrist straps.

SmallRig Cage for Sony A7RIII/A7M3/A7III with VG-C3EM Vertical Grip 2176 mounts to the camera's tripod socket with a 1/4’’-20 screw and a second lock on the right side, preventing the camera from twisting and wiggling.
The cage is attached to the camera body by a 1/4" mounting screws. Besides this screw, CAGE 2176 has placed additional pin on the side surface of the cage – their task is to prevent the camera body from twisting/sliding after being mounted in the cage.
Cold shoe, nato rail, standard 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16 threaded holes, Arri locating points on the cage allows to DIY your cage according your needs.
With the camera in the cage, you still have access to the SD card slot, battery compartment, and all camera controls.
