A wide-angle prime well-suited to multimedia applications, the FĂRIN 20mm f/2 FE MF Lens from Tokina is dedicated to full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. The ultra-wide perspective is benefitted by a sophisticated optical design, which incorporates three super-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements to control both chromatic and spherical aberrations. A multi-layer coating has also been applied to reduce lens flare and ghosting for increased contrast and improved color fidelity. Its manual focus design affords precise control when working with subjects as close as 11", and the manual aperture ring can be de-clicked to enable smooth, silent aperture adjustments for cine use. Additionally, electronic contacts are integrated into the mount design to permit seamless communication of distance and aperture information to the camera body in order to support the use of focusing aids, in-camera image stabilization, and an EVF distance scale.
The Tokin FiRIN 20mm F2 FE AF is an autofocus super wide-angle lens designed for the full-frame Sony E-mount. It can adopt the same optical design of the Sony E-mount to offer more options for the end users to choose the settings according to the purpose and style of shooting.
This is a full-size camera lens with sensor in terms of overall size and resolving ability. The optical design of this lens adopts two aspherical elements and three lenses moulded from super-low dispersion glass that can significantly reduce any kind of aberration including chromatic and spherical aberrations along with distortion. The lens assures high resolution and stunning performance even at a wide-open aperture.
This lens is fully compatible with fast hybrid AF system. It can provide the same auto focus performance at all AF mode settings including DMF. It even features fine manual focus adjustment.
This lens is capable of achieving maximum use of the in-body image stabilization of the camera. It does so by transmitting the focal length data. The data transmission is done by electrical contacts. This also helps in obtaining necessary data from the lens chip to correct the shading, distortion, lateral chromatic aberrations and optical corrections.
For full compatibility to all shooting modes, the camera system on the lens can be utilised to take care of the lens aperture. This results in better a true colour image output.
