Use the compact, lightweight 1660 Cage for Sony a7 II Series Cameras from SmallRig to protect and add accessories to your a7 II series mirrorless camera. This formfitting cage maintains access to the camera's controls and features a removable right side for even easier control. One cold shoe and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads are built into the cage's top and sides.
The 1660 Cage includes an anti-twist design at the front and non-slip pads to help secure your a7 II series camera. The cage also includes mounting holes for a separately available Metabones lens adapter.

SMALLRIG A7II Cage 1660 is specifically designed for Sony A7II/A7RII/A7SII. The delicate structure enables full access to the camera's buttons and controls.The top plate is equipped with arrays of mounting holes. It leaves camera's hot shoe accessible, so that you could attach a XLR-K1M for an external mic setup. The bracket at the right side with a shoe mount is removable. When it is removed, the remaining parts of the cage makes the camera controls exposed for easier access.
With the built-in cold shoe on top, you could attach many cold shoe accessories to this cage, such as SMALLRIG Magic Arm 1497, Ballhead Mount 761, Microphone Shock Mount 1859.
To avoid scratching the surface around the hot shoe of the camera, we added three rubber cushions inside the top plate.
To increase the friction between camera and the cage and help to prevent twisting, we also added two rubber cushions on the base plate.
With this cage on, the camera battery door could still be opend, so that you could replace the battery without removing the camera.
If you want to protect the camera's HDMI port, you could attach a SMALLRIG HDMI Cable Lock 1679(sold separately) to left side of this cage.
