Panasonic's HC-MDH3 AVCHD Shoulder Mount Camcorder with LCD Touchscreen & LED Light is at home shooting corporate, event, or indie projects. It features a 1/3.1" BSI MOS sensor for improved low-light performance and incorporates a 20x zoom lens with five-axis hybrid image stabilization. The lens also features a single manual ring that you select to control focus, zoom, or iris. Built into the top handle is an LED light for illuminating your subject.Two viewfinders provide you with a choice of operating the camera with either a traditional tilt-up color EVF or a pullout LCD high-resolution touchscreen. The LCD touchscreen is positioned above the lens for a more natural viewing experience when shooting handheld. The camera records in MP4, MOV, or AVCHD codecs, and features dual SDXC media card slots, allowing you to use relay or simultaneous recording. The lens incorporates an illuminating ring that indicates when the camera is in standby or record mode. You can also deactivate the indicator if you wish.
The large 1/3.1-inch MOS sensor captures brilliant, high-quality images in dim lighting conditions. That means you can record beautiful scenes and objects under a variety of conditions and in any situation, including indoor scenes and nightscapes, with low noise distortion.
Stable shoulder-mount shooting is packed into a well-balanced package with a large grip and zoom lever, plus a wide-diameter manual ring for smooth, positive operation. User buttons and switches are efficiently laid out for simple, direct control.
Two picture quality settings can be easily made to match your preference. When you choose the Sharp setting instead of Standard, Gamma is compensated with high contrast, the Color Matrix is made more vibrant, and Sharpness is applied to enhance clarity for vivid images.
The LED Light is extremely bright (300 lx at 1 meter) for reliable shooting in dimly lit places. A diffusion filter is also enclosed to diffuse and soften the light.
Simultaneous Recording records the same data to both cards. When the first card reaches full capacity, Relay Recording automatically switches to the second card. The Hot Swap function allows the card to be exchanged while shooting, so recorded cards can be exchanged with blank cards for endless recording.* * The file is divided every 10 hours.
The HYBRID O.I.S.+ uses five-axis correction to thoroughly suppress blurring caused by unwanted shake – whether you are shooting with a wide angle or at high zoom. This lets you capture crisp, clear images in virtually every shooting situation.
The optical 20x zoom lens covers the range from 29.5mm wide-angle* to 612mm tele by a 4-Drive Lens System. The drive ranges are reduced by driving each of four lens groups separately, resulting in high image quality and high-powered zooming, with a compact and quick lens mechanism. * 35mm camera equivalent.
