The JBL M-Patch 2 is a passive stereo controller and switch box that is well suited for audio engineers, mastering studios, broadcast applications, project studios, and more. The M-Patch 2 offers passive volume attenuation of up to two line-level sources and can direct the output between two sets of XLR outputs. The main inputs feature combo XLR-1/4" connectors, while an auxiliary input provides stereo RCA and an 1/8" TRS connection for media players and other line-level devices.
The front panel offers volume controls for the aux and stereo input, as well as a headphone output. There are buttons for routing signals which include a stereo/aux input select, output 1 and 2 select, mute on/off, and a switch for mono/stereo for checking your mixes in mono. The JBL M-Patch 2 ships with a power adapter, but this is only needed to power the headphone amplifier. The passive signal path between the main and aux inputs does not require power to operate. The M-Patch 2 also ships with desktop/rackmount hardware for easy mounting to a desk or within a 19" rack case.
